    UAE, Greece enhance cooperation in key economic sectors

    UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of Greece, in Abu Dhabi to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral ties within the framework of the two nations’ comprehensive strategic partnership. The meeting, held at Qasr Al Shati, underscored the UAE’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Greece across various sectors, particularly in economic development, advanced technology, AI, investment, food security, and renewable energy.

    Sheikh Mohamed welcomed Mitsotakis and his accompanying delegation, expressing confidence that the visit would further enhance collaborative efforts for mutual benefit. Discussions focused on expanding joint initiatives that align with the two countries’ shared vision for sustainable development and economic diversification. Both leaders emphasized the importance of fostering innovation-driven partnerships that support long-term growth and stability.

    The talks also addressed regional and global developments, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to diplomatic solutions that promote security, stability, and prosperity. The leaders stressed the significance of strengthening international cooperation to resolve conflicts through peaceful means and to advance sustainable peace efforts worldwide. The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President.

    The UAE and Greece have steadily enhanced bilateral cooperation in recent years, with both nations prioritizing economic and technological collaboration as key pillars of their strategic relationship. The visit by the Greek Prime Minister further reinforces the commitment of both countries to expanding ties in areas of mutual interest.
